Mrs. Alberta Gibson, former resident of this city, died Sunday night at the home of a son, George Gibson, 420 W. Bernard Ave., Indianapolis. Mrs. Gibson, believed to have been past 90 years of age, was known as “Gibby” to the many local residents in whose homes she had been employed. She lived here most of her life. She was a member of the Bethel AME Church here. The survivors include three sons, George, in whose home she died, Harry Gibson of South Bend, and Wesley Gibson, who lives in California. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at the King & King Funeral Home, 1503 Columbia, Indianapolis, where friends may call.
